Re: Ramp Climbing Adventures

Testing driving up the ramp was quite an adventure. Without modifying the bot at all we tried going up at various speeds.

Going up we wound up with half the bot sticking up in the air while the back of it was still on the ramp, then all the sudden the front would come slamming down making quite a racket but not damaging the bot in any way (not any way we noticed at least)

We couldn't come back down at all (discounting one time in which my timing was perfect but I wasn't able to repeat it) for a while until we took every little bit of spare weight available and strapped metal blocks into the front of the bot. Coming down is noisy and looks ugly as heck, but it works now.
