A regional participation gets you 1 point. Being one of the Top 8 teams is 2 points. Regional finalist is 3 points. Regional Winner is 5 points.

After all points are distributed, teams could be sorted the same way they are now, starting with the top ranked team and going down the list, assigned each team the next division. (In case of a tie in points, teams can be sorted by team number, or randomly.) This system would assure every division is fun to watch and compete in.
Exactly what Shaun and I were thinking. We discussed this last season too. I think if a lot of us put out a word for this FIRST will respond because this idea makes sense.
