here our some of my favorite plays:
one is during our final qualifying match one of our alliance partners(620) was DQed for a unacceptable modification to a wire. so that left us with two bots and not having to worry bout a back bot. so the match was now 3 bots to 2 bots. the other alliance had teams 435(robodogs and very good shooter) and 343(our later alliance partner in the championship rounds) both of thse bots had treads and awesome shooters. well my team won defense first and both bots on the alliance went straight for 435 and 343. while the other team was pushing 343 around, i went after 435. while pushing 435 back i hit 343 and started pushing both teams back and away from the center goal. then at the end of the match i was trying to get up on the ramp but i couldn't(which was a good thing)because 435 trying coming in behind us but our teams robot slid off the ramp and hit 435 keeping them from shooting.
my other favorite match was the very last match in the finals (finals match 1-2) when the 7th seeded alliance was going against the 4th seeded alliance. the blue alliance was 1610, 343, and 1598(7th seeded alliance) and the red alliance was 384, 435, and 1522(4th seeded alliance). during that match the teflon on the right front wheel of our robot was coming off so i decided to play defense and i was ramming 384 and 435 non-stop to keep them from shooting into the center goal.(the match before this one i damaged 384 so badly that they had to take a timeout to repair their robot
) my alliance ended up winning that match along with the regional. can't wait to see 384 in atlanta.
