I believe the launch engine from General Electric-Pratt & Whitney will be the GP7200. The Rolls-Royce Trent 900 will also be offered at launch. Attached is an image I found on the internet of the Trent 900 attached to an Airbus A340 test bed. The size is just amazing and hopefully when I'm an airport manager, one of these days, I'll be able to see an A380 fly in.
