This may not work with your robot at all...I really have no idea what the overall design is...
What you have been saying so far is that you have alot of traction in the back and no touching in front.
Again I'm not sure if this would work...but it may be possible to go up the ramp sideways. If you go up the ramp on an angle you wouldn't have to take the complete angle with all of that traction. Center of Gravity would be the only questionable factor here.
Any Pictures could help with troubleshooting...even microsoft paint drawings if pictures are difficult to find.
