The really disappointing part was that we have two motors per side and only one died. We might have been alright had the second motor worked. However, it looks like we accidentally unplugged/dislodged/otherwise caused to fail the signal cable from the other speed controller while we were trying to replace the dead one. There were other problems associated with our hasty swap job, but those mentioned were the direct causes of the failure.
We lost both of the quarter final matches and were out. Thanks to 649 and 100 for sticking through it with us anyway.

You're robot was awesome - we thought for sure we'd go against your alliance in the final rounds. We totally understand your frustration, feeling like you could still achieve so much more. We had our shooter roller bearing out of whack and couldn't score from in front of the ramp during finals, a strategy we had calibrated and prepared for earlier on the practice field. But that's the price we paid for a somewhat tippy robot. Our alliance, 753, had basically overheated all its motors and couldn't play their awesome defense by the third finals match.
So will you be competing at any more events? Keep your spirits up, you have a lot to be proud of!
