Re: 2006 who's staying where

I have two years of experience from going to Nationals staying at the Westin Peachtree. I have found that it is quicker to walk from the hotel to competition because with the MARTA you have to go from N1 (Peachtree Station) to Five Points, that is 1 station south. Then you have to get on a Westbound train to W1 (Dome, CNN, OMNI Station), that is 1 station west. The time that it takes to go all the way up and down the escalators and get on and off trains takes more time then just walking. It is about 15 minute walk from Westin to Competition.

You will see the direction that all the teams walk will match up with http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2006...wntown_Map.pdf
and they will all walk down Andrew Young International BLVD. Good way to meet other teams and have a good conversation.

MARTA from Airport to Hotel is very nice and probably the best way to go cost wise. (about 35-40 minute ride if I remember right)

If it is anyone's first time down to Atlanta and have a question or two I would be happy to answer them if I can. AIM, E-mail, MSN, ICQ, ChiefDelphi PM whatever
