Georgia Aquarium? You MUST Pre-Order Tickets

This thread is intended for anyone coming to Atlanta for the Championship event that wishes to see the new Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium is a MUST see for anyone that enjoys seeing our undersea creatures. The aquarium is the largest in the world and is located on the north side of Centennial Olympic Park which is right there with all of the events you will be attending at the GA Dome.

The aquarium is a major success so far but because of this, you MUST pre-order your tickets. You will very likely NOT be able to purchase your tickets when you arrive. Here is the email text with details you need to know about, that I received from the Manager of Corporate Sales:
Quote:
Because our tickets are timed tickets, we recommend that the students purchase their tickets online at GA Aquarium or contact our call center at 404.581.4444. We do have walk up tickets available but they are based on availability and we do sell out consistently on the weekends and some Fridays. Below is some information you can pass along to the students so they understand our timed tickets.

Tickets to the Georgia Aquarium are timed tickets, meaning that you select the date and hour that you will arrive so that your group will be guaranteed a time to enter with minimal lines to wait in. For example, if you select 10:00 AM, you can arrive anywhere from 9:50 AM to 11:10 AM and then stay as long as you like. We suggest allowing at least 3 hours to tour the aquarium.

The aquarium hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM 7 days a week with the last entry time at 4:00 PM.
Another Chief Delphi thread concerning this is here

We look forward to everyone coming to see us here in the ATL!

Dave
