Hi Alex
I lost count of how many times I stopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I really love to ride it as the scenery always changes. In the picture I had just ridden up from Cherokee, NC and it was a bit cool at altitude. The day before I had run into the remnants of hurricane Cindy. I rode from Asheville to Cherokee in a pouring downpour 
As for how the bike did, it never complained at all. It's a 1997 Honda Pacific Coast that I had painted purple (aka Burple) and silver. Burple seems to be the right word as the PC is called the Tupperware bike (all the plastic body panels) and you have the burp t-ware
