The Mini tools were awesome, and the buttons were fun to collect. Someone at Wisconsin was giving out business cards. 93 gave out carabiners. 930 gave out extrusions on a keychain. 1103 gave out collectible coins. One team (I don't know who) gave out smiley face bouncy balls.
Argos 1756 was giving out a blue wristband (livestrong-style) at chicago, which I am still wearing and will continue to wear until it breaks (I have lost two similar bands this way). Wristbands are fun to give out because you can wear them all the time, and promote FIRST all the time.
At the midwest regional, my team was giving out hats, t-shirts, and water bottles(nalgene-style). Though one team kept "helping themselves" to the water bottles and t-shirts, so we couldn't keep them on display, and had to hand them out personally.
