It's ten (10) degrees.
Some background: In the past, it was common practice for teams who did not want to be defended to put sloping sides on their robots. The idea was that if a defender drove onto the wedge, they would be immobilized (other than reversing to get off) and not disturb the robot with wedges. Should the defender tip over, it could be the fault of the team with the wedge (front or back wedge, mostly) or not (side wedges, mostly). However, this year, FIRST listened to the defenders who didn't like wedges (instead of the majority of voters in a poll on this subject on CD) and outlawed any slope in the "bumper zone" greater than 10 degrees. To counterbalance this, they allowed bumpers to be extra weight if they were of a certain design.
