I'm glad Dave chose to highlight the fact that IFI is only 10% robotics. I've heard many of the rumors and shots folks have taken at these guys unfairly. Last fall, when I had the pleasure of working on FVC game design in NH, the "big guys" spent a day helping us out. Dr. Flowers, Mr. Lavery, and Mr. Norman all came in a day early to help our group. I did know about Rack Solutions and where IFI's profit came from, but not until I met Tony did I know that almost every year financial experts and advisors keep telling IFI that their FIRST involvement is costing them too much. Every year Tony tells them that they don't understand the cause.

In fact, over a three day period, I think I heard Tony speak passionately about the "cause" no less than ten times. FIRST is incredibly fortunate to have Tony, Bob, JVN, and the IFI crew so committed to the mission of our programs. When you hear Dean talk about the societal need for contributors and those who add real value, he's talking about these guys for sure.
