Safety Observations from Nationals

Over the course of 2 and half days Team 476 took a proactive approach to safety with our team performing 117 safety observations. Those of you in the Newton division who agreed to allow them to observe you working di a great service to all in an effort to improve the overall safety of everyone. Our goal is to especially share this with the FIRSt organization as most of the at risk behaviors occurred on the playing fields. From our analysis all teams (including our own) need to look at the ergonomics around working on our machines. Encouraging to me is the overall very high % safe marks - it shows that we are beginning to build a strong safety culture in FIRST. Towards that end, how can we improve on field safety?
My first suggestion is to slow down the queing and such by having 2 more fields during the qualification rounds. What are yours?
