Re: Atlanta FRC championship Lost & Found
So any updates on finding your lost items? Especially those that were misplaced within the Georgia Dome/GWCC?
I find it strange that none of these items were ever turned into the respective lost and founds run by the security offices of the two venues. I find it HIGHLY unlikely that random schmoes off the street found all of these items and walked away with them. SOMEONE employed by the venues had to find at least one of these big ticket items. SO WHERE ARE THEY?
I smell something rotten in the city of Atlanta.
I am currently searching for a laptop suspected to be left behind in the pit at the GWCC. We were one of the very last teams to pack up and leave. The public had completely left the pit area by that time - the only people around were GWCC cleanup staff and loading dock workers moving crates.
If none of you have had success in locating your missing high cost items via the lost and found route, each security office has an Investigations unit responsible for looking into lost property cases in more detail. If you have a decent idea of where your property was lost (seating section of the Dome, pit location within the Congress Center, etc.), I encourage you to contact the security office, ask for Investigations, and request they perform a thorough inquiry into your matter. It can't hurt. The more people who call them and tell them about their expensive losses, the more these security offices will have to take our concerns seriously.
Again, the phone number is 404-223-8900. Ask for the Investigations unit for either the Georgia Dome or the GWCC.
