Well, I looked but also couldn't find a Navy vessel sporting 461.

A by-product of the search was three pages of integral calculus, seemingly unrelated to 461 except by the course number. The derivation shows why the transcendental number pi appears in the formula for the normal (Gaussian) probability density function commonly called the bell curve. So I guess 461 rings a bell ...
