A group at Wake Forest University has
discovered a cancer-resistant mouse with a dominant resistance gene! Not only that, injections of the white blood cells found to be fighting the cancers into non-carriers of the gene has proven to erradicate any cancers introduced! It seems that mice born with this genetic mutation develop a life-long resistance to all cancers (the cells do not fight only particular cancers, nor do they target only specific locations) after initial exposure to some form of cancer.
This is a really fascinating article with a lot of insight into a promising new path towards cancer research and treatment. If you've got the time you should definitely be sure to read it.
