My first year in FIRST, I collected tons of buttons. I quickly realized that I didn't know what to do with any of them. I put most of the buttons from that first year in a box, and resolved not to accumulate any more buttons
Now I only collect ones from teams I have a good relationship with, or ones that get handed to me in the pits. It's amazing how many you get without even trying. Those ones I give to my younger brother, who actually goes out and collects buttons, unlike me.
