My two cents is that this is for Halo 3. They had a similar mysterious ilovebees website for Halo 2. Also, the eighth eon is another term for the end of the world, and the end of the Halo 3 trailer has Cortana (maybe?) saying, "This is how the world ends." So, whaddya think?
