Being that he has taken it for so long, and has grown a dependency upon the medicinal treatment, the body will come to the point where it will be expectant of it especially if it is a high allergen time.
This is not uncommon at all. Many individuals experience the same effects with other families of medicinal drugs such as one anitiepileptic family of drugs or another more marketable family of drugs known as triptans. People all respond differently depending on their chemical make-up.
