Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

This process can be a stressful one, but if you dont rush to finish everything at once, you should be fine. I would suggest that you consider looking for non binding early action programs at the schools that you really become interested in. If you get into a school you want early, that can save you the headache of applying to many more schools to try and guarantee an acceptance. I applied early to both WPI and RPI, and got into both before Christmas. I had my aid package back from WPI before the deadline for my financial safety school (UNH), so I didn't even have to apply. It was short and simple, and saved me the nightmare of filling out many long applications. As my sig indicates...I chose RPI.

As a student at Rensselaer (RPI), I feel that I should put in a good word for the Institute, since it seems to be notably absent from many application lists on this thread. Rensselaer is a top notch engineering school (we just made the "New Ivy" list), and we do have a FIRST program here, for all those who wish to continue on in FIRST through mentoring. I highly encourage you to consider Rensselaer in your search for colleges. If anyone has any questions about RPI, I'd be glad to answer them to the best of my ability (I have just started as a freshman, so I am still learning a lot about the Institute).

Best of luck to the class of 2007!
