[WRRF]: Cal Games is now open for all teams to register!

Folks and teams across the country!

The tier 1 registration period from July 1st to September 1st is now over, and the WRRF California Robot Games is now opened for all teams to register.

Western Region Robotics Forum is thrilled to announce the return of our fall robotics competition to the Bay Area, 2006 WRRF California Robot Games! Started by a small group of teams in 2000 , Cal Games is one of two major events organized and attended by our Bay Area FIRST community during the fall in preparation for the coming FIRST season.

Every year, Cal Games aim to:
1. Introduce teams and their new members to the excitement and intensity of the competition.
2. Provide training experience for teams with the previous FIRST game.
3. Show school administrators, parents, sponsors, mentors, teachers, and the Bay Area as a whole what FIRST is all about.
4. Provide networking opportunities to FIRST teams and the local Bay Area community.

When: The weekend of October 27 and 28 - registration, inspection, setup on Friday; competition on Saturday.
Where: Pioneer High School Main Gym, 1290 Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose, CA 95118
What: Cal Games 2006 will feature the full 2006 Aim High Tournament, plus side event(s) and many awards for 24+ competing teams.

If you are an interested FIRST team, more information on registration can be found here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=48294.

If you've been on a FIRST team, if you went to a FIRST competition and want to see more actions, or if you are just a spectator and just want to see what the fuzz is all about, then come to Pioneer High School this October and check out our competition! Our event is free for spectators!

For announcements and volunteering opportunities of Cal Games, please visit the WRRF forum @ http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=62

Look forward to seeing everyone at Cal Games 2006!
