6 is a perfect number. So is 28. So are 496, 8128, and 33550336, but they are not practical numbers of members for a single FRC team.
I've seen FRC teams with 6 members; e.g., FRC276 (Youngstown, OH) in 2004. They probably could have used a few more.
There have probably been FRC teams with 28 members, but I can't cite one now. 28 seems like the most realistic perfect number of team members.
