Re: What can make a FIRST team a "renowned" FIRST team

I have to go along with Bill. A team becomes memorable through a series of events. A unique team name, performance, robot design, assistance to other teams are all high on the list. Every team mentioned is also a daily practicing gracious professional. They are known by teams because they help others. (a lot of others) Whether they help make repairs, guide students, or have unique strategies, only doing one of the above things will not get you remembered. Once those things are in place, marketing takes over with shirt design, logos, cheering, etc. so that a person can identify a memorable moment with a particular team. It's hard to miss a great performer like the Thunder Chickens when they have the bright green shirts. Tecknokats carry their tradition with a distinctive blue and red uniform, robot, even avatars. The same goes for Chief Delphi, RoboDogs, Spam or the Xcats. It is not one thing but a list of accomplishments over many years, tied with an easily remembered team identifier.
