Not true. 1503 successfully climbed the ramp once in GLR with a single tread.
Broken treads aside, they were the right call
for our strategy last year. They allowed us to hold our position while shooting, which was crucial due to our lack of turret. For a different strategy, a 6 wheel may have been the best, or maybe a swerve. It all depends on how
you play the game. We put a good deal of thought into choosing the right drive base for the game, rather than just building the same one over and over again. We don't get the same level of refinement on our drive bases that you see on for example 25's 6 wheel, but by designing for a specific game strategy, we ensure our drive base is a good fit to our strategy. There's no need to force a square peg through a round hole.
