There's always the list of teams that want to be mentored that FIRST has. There's a goodly number of teams in california, even. I think you might have better luck trying to contact teams like that, as many rookie teams probably have no idea CD even exists.
I know it exists. I've tried that with a couple teams. I'll see if I get any takers here.
