That is probably a question for the Q&A, as I can't seem to find any rules that clarify that matter any further. <G20> only prohibits Robots from descoring, but the spirit seems to be that it shouldn't be done regardless. But Human Players descoring was a large factor in Toroid Terror in 1997 (especially descoring from the top of the tower). The ability to knock off tubes from the pipes was rather hard, and I think it may be next to impossible this year.
