Human Strategy Play Day

Team 1629 will be hosting a human strategy play day - similar to the human match shown in the kick-off presentation, but less silly and focused on strategy and giving drive teams practice in match-like conditions with a real rack.

We have a full rack and field at our facility that will be open for use after the build season ends. It's an opportunity to see how your strategy will hold up with all the chances for error in a match.

We would like to have at least 12 teams for the event, to be held on February 24th (noon to 5). If more teams express interest, we will open it up to more teams but the first 12 are the only ones garaunteed their spots. Teams would need to bring a minimum of three team members (but not the entire team).

We're not sure how many tubes we'll have available so we would appreciate any teams who could bring extras. There will be no cost for attending and food will be available for purchase. Before coming you should have an idea of what capabilities your robot will have (such as scoring/removing abilities, gathering, how it loads a tube, lifting/being lifted, etc.) and should bring a list of those capabilities along.

We are located in Garrett County in far western Maryland (Deep Creek Lake). Anyone interested should contact myself or PhilBot by PM for more information/directions by February 15th.

We have a streaming webcam so your team members not coming along would be able to watch from home. (To see the webcam, click on the "video" link in the upper right-hand corner of our website.)
