yes i agree, external mics are really nice to have and can be done rather inexpensively. for example the mics used for the blue alliance kickoff were xlr mics that I had because i am a musician. once run through the correct adapters you can get a very nice quality sound. so if you know anybody who is a musician
ask if you can barrow theirs or buy some they come in many differnt prices and many are not very expensive.
for anyone who's curios the mics used for TBA kickoff event were: a shure SM57 and an AKG D88 S they cost about $100 and $40 respectively.
