Is it in Quicktime DV-NTSC format? There are a number of Quicktime formats but if it's not DV-NTSC it'll be disqualified.

When you render a .MOV from Max under "Files..." there is a Setup button that lets you pick the type of Quicktime format, and a slider bar that lets you choose the compression quality. The higher the quality the larger the file size.

Video editing programs also have a similar setup screen.
