I think the the smoothness of the drive can be attributed to three things:

A) The tread pattern of wedge top. It seems to have a lot of grip in the forward/reverse direction, but not a ton side to side.
B) We still haven't mounted our arm, so frictional force between the wheels is at a minimum. We plan on the COG being pretty low most of the time, so this shouldn't become a huge issue over time.
C) Our interior frame is ridiculously rigid. I've been told the rule of thumb with 6WD is to keep your frame from flexing around alot.
