Our team actually had the storyboard done long before the animation this year (first time for everything, right?). I didn't look at those examples but ours were just hand-drawn, hand-colored pictures that were scanned into the computer. That should be fine for this... that's sort of what a storyboard is anyway. And our animation basically follows it identically as far as concept goes.
EDIT: Ours is on a personal website which can be found
here. As you can see I did doodle up a little HTML page for it, nothing fancy. That page will also spoil the concept of our animation. I would stick the thing on Youtube but I'm having to skip school right now to get it uploaded to FIRSTBase.
