Flash dumps plenty of volts, not necessarily amps.
The capacitor's job in my case is to provide a motor with twice its normal voltage and twice the normal amperage in some period of time.
I tried a camera flash thing where the motor was wired up to the bulb terminals...I don't have a motor anymore.
