It's easy, once you get the hang of it.

STEP 1: Go to the picture that you uploaded* in CD-Media. (For example, mine is here.)

STEP 2: Click the name tag on the right, over the navigational buttons (the ones to go to the previous and next photo).

STEP 3: The thumbnail for that picture will show up with your posts. To change it, do the same process over again.

*Brandon Martus, the administrator for the site, can work around this requirement if you ask nicely. It's how my WAI picture was Jessica Boucher clipboarding me for several months.

When you upload the photo don't forget to add a "Who Am I?" tag.
