Since Vex robots are easy to transport, what makes sense to me is to climb into the spectator stands after a match, then descend onto the floor for the next competition round. Is this feasible? Is there any way to get from the top to the bottom?
In my past experience, no. They only open the stands for 1) Closing ceremonies when teams have to collect their awards and 2) for volunteers going onto the field (and even then you really have to try to get on there even with a shirt and a pass).

The only real way that teams can get onto the field is by going through the tunnel connecting the Dome and the GWCC.
