If you count the "Chairman's Finalist" awards, Buzz would also be in there. They were finalists in 1999, 2000, and 2001 before winning a Regional Chairman's award (the first year of regional chairman's awards) and the Championship Chairman's award in 2002. |
You can throw 67 in there too. They followed their '97 National* Rookie All Star with National* Chairman's Finalists in '98 & '99. They finally won the big one in '05 after a West Michigan RCA.
As for HOF teams winning a RCA, 22 did it at LA the year after winning the National* Chairman's Award.
*Remember it was "Nationals" back then.
