Thanks to the UTC Regional Planning Committee, The Blue Alliance was able to attend the 2007 UTC New England Regional and bring you coverage of the event! We talked to teams 40, 716, and 1099 about interesting features of their robots, and provided a strategy analysis of how the game was played. We were also able to interview
Congressman Chris Murphy from Connecticut (Dean's Homework worked!) about engineering in America and why it's important for schools and corporations to continue funding FIRST. Friday was a huge snowstorm that force school boards to send some teams home early, and we talked to Woodie Flowers about the gracious professionalism demonstrated by other teams stepping forward to drive the snowed-out-teams' robots so they could continue competing.
If you don't want to watch the entire 14 minute episode,
watch this montage of the event on YouTube, or
our interview with Woodie or
Congressman Murphy. I'm rather unhappy with the quality of the montage on YouTube, so you can download the high-quality file directly from our site.
