That looks like a project that I would probably undertake...
But here's a better challenge: design one which could use a normal, unmodified, multi-use (such as to store other non-beverage foodstuffs) refrigerator that it still able to be accessed by people without difficulty.
For bonus points, have a Vex robot deliver it from the refrigerator to you (so it won't be all shaken up) using a CMUcam and a green target light above your couch!
