Hey everybody, now that we've had a few weeks to relax (and by relax I mean attend other regionals/take exams/try to keep from failing/etc.) I would like to try to get together a formal "Lessons Learned" for the planning committee. I have joined the regional committee as a Volunteer Co-Coordinator in anticipation for the hopeful super regional next year. I have seen many great tidbits of issues and improvement ideas in this thread and from various mentors that I've been in contact with since the regional, but I would like to extend that even further since you guys were the ones participating in the regional itself.
If you find the time and would like to get in touch with me with ideas and suggested improvements (which will be kept anonymous, so feel free to tell us exactly what is on your mind), please e-mail me personally. Please keep in mind that most of the issues in the pits this year have been addressed and will be improved next year, most of it the problems this year were because of the intense construction around the arena this year. With that in mind, talk with your students/mentors and try to send me an e-mail with your thoughts. Thanks guys!
