I would have thought this, but someone on the field (in the chaos I don't remember who) told me that the initial impact was not the reason for the red card. I do not know how credible the source was, since a lot of things were said and thought on the field, but that reason would seem inconsistent with the rulings earlier that day, and the previous two days. Additionally, IF it was interpreted that I (the driver of the 418 robot) was trying to intentionally "tip over" 1745 it would obviously be a violation of rule <G35>*, which, to me, is reasonable grounds for a red card.

*<G35> Intentional ROBOT - ROBOT interaction - Strategies aimed solely at the destruction, damage, tipping over, or entanglement of ROBOTS are not in the spirit of the FIRST Robotics Competition and are not allowed.
