Re: ARCHIMEDES DIVISION - 2007

904 didn't have the strongest showing at West Mich. We've fixed that and we're going to bounce back hard. (Just an FYI.)

Indeed. Knowing the defense at the last few regionals, you can bet that strategy will be high enough that you will not easily be left alone. Ramping will be a necessity (Think about it: if defense is strong enough that you can score maybe 16 points, ramping for 45~60pts is going to be huge.)

We have Beatty, BOB, and Chief Delphi. 3 robots that can grab and have ramps. Plus they've done well at their regionals, IIRC. Put big stars next to these teams.

I would not be surprised, in fact, if there was nothing breaking 200 at all of nats. At least half of the teams going are regional winners. 2/3 of the other half is chairman's and engineering inspiration award winners. Even if they didn't win a regional, 5/6 of the teams there will have it together.

This is probably obvious to those who have gone. For those of us that haven't: Buckle up. This, I'm suspecting, is going to be a particularly exciting year.
