-Try rebooting.
-Try a different media player.
Real Alternative is a codec that lets you play the Real stream in something that isn't RealNetworks official player. Just install it, no fancy stuff required. If you also hate the Apple Quicktime player for windows, you can find quicktime alternative as well.
-Try pressing stop on the media player, then pressing play again. This might help, though it only ever has helped me when I already had video
