Re: Galileo Division 2007
Biggest surprise for me was my team, 1712. We came into this event really low key, and didn't expect to get as far as we did. We did extremely well in Philly, coming out 4th seed, but eliminated in the quarter-finals by 341 and 84's alliance. With such great teams as 25, 45, 103, 217, 341... and the list goes on, we had low expectations. We joked that we were going to be on top of everyone, but it didn't really sink in until the end of friday.
Ending the qualifying matches seeded 6th among some of the greatest teams in the world was one of the most exhilarating things for our crew of 12 that came to Atlanta. To go from being unknown for this years competition to making it to the Semi-finals on the Galileo field in than two weeks was something that we could have never imagined. It really meant the world to our drivers, our mentors, and everyone that was a part of our team. It was a truly amazing experience for all of us.
