Re: 2007 Monty Madness

Team Number: 1676
Team Name: The Pascack Pi-oneeers

Primary Robot Functions: Defense and Ramp, but can score if necessary and/or planned
Average # of Tubes placed in a match: normally play defense, so >1, but could place 2-3 (haven't really tried)

How many robots can you lift: 1
How high can it lift the robot(s): 12"

Robot Class: 4ft 120 lbs.
Drivetrain: 6WD drivetrain w/ 4 CIM motors & BaneBots. Drivetrain is failsafe (if 1 motor fails, all wheels are still powered)
Ground Clearance: 2.5" (if I remember correctly)

Arm: elevator-type arm that reaches the low and middle levels of the rack
Gripper: Dual-suction cup grabber with a separate fold-down alignment system

Results:
2007 NJ Regional: 3rd seed, Best Website Award, Johnson & Johnson - Sportsmanship Award, Motorola Quality Award (Only team in NJ Regional history to receive three awards!)
2007 Buckeye Regional: Motorola Quality Award

Strengths: Fast, strong drivetrain that is great for pushing; robot has never had to have any major parts fail and/or need to be replaced
