I'm a very strong introvert and have to work hard in order to be with people all day long. I don't draw my energy from others, I re-charge by solitary pursuits. FIRST has helped me realize I CAN be at competitions for several days on end interacting with others (many of them
teenagers!). I CAN lead teambuilding workshops, give conference presentations and faciliate NEMO meetings. FIRST has enabled me to develop professional skills that I don't have the opportunity to do in my professional career.
