Re: School Support problem?

Go in with a positive and upbeat attitude. Maybe he has no idea what it is all of you do at these competitions. Bring a video with you. Nothing long maybe the video that FIRST puts out. Explain to him the importance and the education you are receiving when you go to the comps. Our school had it's heads in the clouds and kicked us out not knowing what they were doing. We are now a "home schooled" team and they are wishing now they had never let us go!! They just had no idea what it really was we were doing.

If all else fails go to the school board and give them a presentation. Even better invite them to the build and the "unveiling" of your robot. Sometimes people just don't understand without visuals. You have to make them understand. Maybe if you have enough money you could take a teacher and they could hold class for a few hours everyday.

Most importantly though be upbeat about it.
