Re: Beta Lone Star Regional Site

Your main categories or what have you at the top are somewhat confusing. "About" is exactly what it says it is. "Participants" and "Volunteers" seem to be aimed at the audiences stated as opposed to being about participants and volunteers. But "Sponsors" is back to being about sponsors, not aimed at them. And media is neither about the media nor aimed at the media, as the surrounding headings would have you believe, but is simply a picture gallery.

I know I sound picky, but I'm a bit of a technical writer at heart. Things grouped near each other and all sounding the same should be about similar things.... An easy fix would probably be "Participation" and "Volunteering" instead.

Also, for the record, I detest flash used for interfaces, splash pages, and generally anything that isn't some game, video, or other web application that I'm specifically looking for. So obviously, I don't care for flash picture galleries that waste my time and bandwidth downloading full versions of images with everything glommed together and not in useful categories. So if I had a choice, I'd skip the whiz-bang flash gallery and stick with a good PHP gallery.
