We (116) used the v.1 IFI traction wheels in 2006. We had two 1" width, 8" diameter int he front and two 2" width, 8" diameter in the rear, both with wedge-top tread. We periodically rotated the wheels due to a number of issues, so no one wheel (and consequently tread) ended up playing in every single match. Even despite this, during our second regional one of the treads actually sheared the rivets holding it to the wheel in half, causing the tread to come loose from the wheel and us to disable our robot to avoid being DQed (metal on carpet contact).
This is more a problem in general with using rivets to attach tread then specifically the IFI wheels, although this has happened to more than one team using these before. Some teams use epoxy in addition to the rivets. Also, the AndyMark performance wheels feature larger rivet holes than the IFI wheels.
