I agree with KATE. I was told there will actually be over 220 teams at the National. I am willing to bet that at least a few of the concensus BEST teams will not be in the top 16.
With only 4 matches, there is just too much luck involved. I would be willing to bet that only about half, at best, of the regional champion teams will actually finish in the top 16 at the nationals. Most of those will be picked for alliances, because they have shown how good their robots are - but don't just assume the top 4-8 teams will automatically finish in the top 16, it just won't happen. Kate is right.
