Off season idea for Baltimore teams

Although I'm a mentor for the Franklin Virgina 1610 team , I'm a Baltimore native. I moved away years ago but I'm a member of baltimore's Baltimore
Streetcar Museum. I still have family there and drive up at least once a month on the weekend.

The museum has streetcars from the 1880's up to 1944 (this last car ran in Baltimore until 1963.)

Whats this got to do with baltimore First teams?
Well streetcars use some things that we use and do with First robotics.
They use batteries and lights. Air and Pneumatic systems and lots and lots
of wiring. They also need to be repaired. They use steel, aluminium and wood
like robots do and some of the methods of construction although on a much larger scale. Also you can learn about engineering. It took a lot of engineering
to build these cars and also build the track systems they ran on.
Also if your interested in a career in Transit or Lightrail being a member looks
good on your resume.

The Streetcar Museum in Baltimore is hurting for younger members and volunteers. I joined years ago when i was 16 and was a member until i was
19. I moved away, but recently rejoined and am working on one of the cars.

If your interested or maybe looking for something to do in the off season
(is there ever one) Then contact me and I can put you in touch.

or contact the Museum at....

Thanks and hope to see some of you all soon.
