One thing's for sure, this competition is much more exciting than the parks! But I definitely understand your concern, 'cuz it's no fun to spend money unnecessarily.

To answer your question, I had an extra day on my pass from the '97 competition and was able to use it in '98, so yeah, they do keep a while. I believe it's a year from the day it's issued, but I'm not completely sure. Something on the order of a year.

If you need a better answer, Disney probably has the info up on the web somewhere.

It's gonna be a blast!
